Join Lisa Reweti for an hour of story time. This is the first of three sessions. A differentstory each time!

Recycled Books 10.00 – 11.00am
Make a tiny book using recycled materials. Bookings essential as numbers are limited.

Screen Print a Tote Bag! 1.00 – 2.30pm
Design your own funky tote bag by screen printing words onto it. We will look at how words have been used in art before deciding on your chosen words. You will draw them onto paper, cut them out; creating an awesome design to print onto your bag. Great for carrying your library books!
The bags will need to stay at the gallery for a few hours to dry and can be picked up the following day. This is the first of two sessions.

Thursday 3 October
Pop-Up Books 10.00 – 12.00pm
We'll explore a range of picture books and discuss different ways that illustrators have approached their work, focussing on colour and detail. Then we'll view some examples followed by a brief demonstration on how to make a simple pop-up book using our own ideas and drawings with coloured card, scissors, glue and a fine tip marker.

Old-Time Poetry with Abner Serd 10.00 – 12.00pm
Storyteller and poetry performer Abner Serd comes all the way from the USA. Join him for an hour of old-time poetry brought to life.
